appointment today

I had my monthly OB appointment today, and I realized why I like my original doctor (the one that had surgery and will be back next month). This doctor found both heartbeats, and we even “heard” one baby move:) But then being my neurotic self I have to ask, SO they are both there? She says yes, that should be both. Ugh. It just annoys me. Just tell me YES BOTH HEARTBEATS ARE THERE AND EVERYTHING IS FINE! Sorry just had to vent. I'm ok now:)
I also had blood drawn for that quad screen thing they do now, supposedly testing for things like down syndrome and spina bifida (sp?) I've heard bad things about the test, that it comes back with false positives etc. So I'm going to take the results with a grain of salt and just pray for healthy babies.
ALSO, can you tell I didn't have a very good appointment today??? I asked just to be sure about flying to Chicago at the end of this month (a girls trip planned a long time ago) and she wasn’t thrilled about the idea. Said something about getting the ok from the specialist, and possibly getting my cervix tested before I go AGH! AND getting a copy of my records incase I end up at the hospital! Geez. I know I’m technically high risk but I really didn’t think this would be a problem! I’m going to talk it over with the specialist, and call my regular doctor when she is back and see what they think, if they agree I won’t go. As much as I’d love to go, it’s sure not worth any extra risk!
Anyway, I’m sure it will all work out okJ and I’m looking forward to my Perinatologist appt. on the 13th! I’ll for sure get an ultrasound and get to see them wiggling around in there!
