May 3rd appt. with Dr. Barsoom

Erika's appt went well. They measured her cervix again, and it had shortened a little. Dr. Barsoom was not alarmed, so neither were we! He said it's actually quite normal.
He does want Erika to stay on the modified bedrest until 32 weeks. By my calculations, that will be around June 18th! Seems very do-able to me, but I'm not the one lying in bed or on the couch with 2 very squirmy babies in her tummy!!!:) Erika is doing everything her Dr's tell her, and she really is doing fine with the bed rest. We are bringing her books and movies and treats and snacks and she now has every commercial on TV memorized!:) And this is the girl who has always hated commercials!
Dr. Barsoom is a great listener and explains everything so well. He takes every concern Erika has to heart, and checks it out compeltely. I could sit and listen to him talk babies and multiples all day!!!:)
As I said above, the babies are squirming and kicking and getting bigger. Baby B is on the right with her head right up in Erika's ribs! Ouch! She just loves it when Erika eats anything with sugar in it, she really starts moving---so I call her Sugar Baby! Baby A is head down on the left. At the appt., Erika told Dr Barsoom about some tenderness she had on that side, so he flipped on the ultrasound and looked and said, "There's nothing wrong there, that's just the baby's butt!" We all got a good laugh on that one! She is just as active as Baby A, but a little sugar doesn't seem to faze her, so I call her Mellow Baby. I think one of each would be very good for Brian and Erika!:)
I'll keep you updated on appts, and if we get Erika internet in the house, you'll be hearing from her!
