Well we have the helmet. It's really not as bad as I thought it was going to be....really! When we had the consultation with the doctor I was still in denial that she didn't need it. When I asked him just how "bad" it is he said about a 7/10. Yikes, really?? Yah I guess so. We better do it. The more we look at her head the more we realize she does need it. He thinks it's from being "squished" inside of me with little wiggle room. She has what they call "wings" that formed in utero and got worse as the head grew flat in the back. We had the casting done a few days ago (not fun) picture a regular cast, but on her head and trying to keep her still and from completely wigging out. But it's over and the helmet is actually kinda cute. She'll have to have it for about 3 months give or take a couple weeks just depending on how her head grows. So far she's not too bothered by it...it did take the full 3 days to adjust, but she's now sleeping in it the full 12 hours with a couple 45 minute or so breaks during the day.
