Hi everyone!Hope this finds everyone well and warm:)
I thought I'd update a bit on the girls...it's been awhile. They had their 6 month shots yesterday, we were a month late because they were sick last round...which is fine since they were a month early! Klaire weighs 17 pounds 14 ounces and Grace 18 pounds 14 ounces. Yes, Grace has caught up, and surpassed her once bigger sister! Also, Klaire is an inch taller! I can't remember the exact height measurements (the shot appts are a bit hectic!). So my Gracie who I was so worried about eating is quite a chubby monkey! The doctor said not to worry about them being overweight (I wasn't) and that they will slim down when they start crawling etc. Too funny. We are still just doing cereal at night which they actually like now and don't gag! I need to start trying veggies, very soon!
We put the highchairs up (Thank you Auntie's Katie and Mary) and they look like such big girls in them! Their recent favorite past-time is right before bed when we let them wiggle around with nothing on. It's such simple thing but they LOVE it. They also have started to like being surprised, a simple "pop up- and BOO" can put them in giggling fits:)
Klaire is a rolling queen, most mornings I find her on her tummy quite proud of her accomplishment...but also looking at me like, could you help me out?? She can't quite get back on her back yet...although it might be the heavy "warm suit" we call them at night hindering her movement too! She is great at and loves tummy time...which is nice since they hated it so much when they were little. We are working on the sitting up, I think it's harder for her since she's a bit taller. She loves to say "da da da" and "bob bob bob." Her helmet is working it's magic....her head looks wonderful, I'd even be happy to stop today, but have to keep going so it doesn't go back to flat. We are 2 months down and hopefully only 1 but maybe close to 2 left. John the helmet guy says we will play it by ear but he is very happy with her growth and progress. Yay!
Grace loves to sit up, she's so rolly polly it's pretty easy for her to plop and sit (with help from her boppy), I think she'll be sitting on her own very shortly. She is also good at tummy time, but would still rather hang out on her back. She is famous for her "blowing raspberries" and really gets into it with spit flying and everything...it's darling. She also says da da da, but if she's really upset the ma ma ma's come out (lucky me huh?:) She still looks just like her daddy, sometimes their facial expressions are the exact same...oh boy, could be trouble;)I guess that's it for now...of course here's some pictures too...
Happy Valentines Day tomorrow!
