I hope everyone had a great Easter...as you all know we had our first overnight trip. Well, the girls did pretty darn good (slept all night) their mom on the other had was a bit of a basket case. First of all they were sick (coughing like
banshees and noses that won't stop) and crabby, and FUSSY.
Klaire especially, was clingy and just not herself. There is just something about not being at home...I don't want them to be the kind of kids that you can't take anywhere because they are SO inflexible, but I think there is something to be said about being home-especially when they aren't feeling well. Don't get me wrong, Jeff and Nikki had us SET UP, the girls had
practically their own nursery for goodness sakes! I'm realizing it was all me.
I need to be more flexible and realize they aren't always going to nap when I want them to, or pose for pictures, or not spit up all over their Easter dresses, or sit still and be quit for 1 1/2 hours during church, or be quiet during dinner time. They are babies and there happens to be 2 of them at the same time. Yep, it's me that needs to chill out, but I just know what good and fun babies they are most of the time! I want everyone
to see how fun they are!!!:) (Thank you Nikki for being there for me during me first all out-basket case, mommy melt down...at least I made is 8 months right??:)
Oh
yah and guess what the Easter bunny brought
Klaire? A TOOTH!!!!! We were in church and Brian said, I think I see a tooth in there!? I replied-no silly (I had given up any hope of EVER seeing one:) I stuck my finger in there and YEP a sharp little corner is through. THANK GOD...and maybe she will start feeling a bit better now!
I forgot to pack my camera...so I'll have to wait for any (if there are any good ones) that family send me. bad mommy, bad mommy!!!

Ahh... the mommy meltdown. It's a real rite of passage :) You all survived and now the next time will be easier. Sounds like a pretty good weekend overall. And a new tooth to boot!
I have three kiddos and still have that "I want everyone to see them as the fun/sweet kids/babies they are" feelings. But, life happens -- and most people understand. Glad you embraced the adventure ...
Glad you had a great easter. Hope the girls are feeling better soon. Can't wait to see them on Sunday!
