I cannot believe our babies are soon to be 18 months old. I guess they aren't even babies anymore! They'll always be my babies, no matter HOW old they are;) Anyway, we are officially on our way to the terrible two's! I'd like to update a little on these two amazing little girls.
Klaire aka "Klaire Bear" "Klaire Wilson," "Miss Klaire" or "Klaire 'Lizbeth":
Brian and I both seem to agree that Klaire has her mommy's temperament. A little on the 'edgy' side and likes to get her way, and at the same time a loving protector-must be my Gemini qualities getting passed on to her. She's got quite the temper-yes, I have to admit I do-but only when I'm very passionate about something. Being an 18 month old, she is passionate about EVERYTHING!! Things need to be just right, or there will be trouble. She also has wonderful mothering qualities already. She carries their two Elmos around and "takes care of them" for hours at a time. She helps pick up and sorts toys without being told (maybe I should teach her how to fold laundry!?) and even loves to put diapers in the diaper genie "yuck!" she says. Klaire is my little mini me (down to the unruly hair!)-which someday I'm sure will be a challenge:) She is protective of Grace and seems to scope out "danger" before they get involved in the next adventure. Apparently, a shopping cart constitutes "danger" as she will have NO PART in getting in one, hopefully that is a phase! She has a few favorite books, especially singing ones. Any toy that will sing to Klaire is ok in her book! She always LOVES to be chased, it's the one thing that can always make her giggle and giggle, and she never gets tired of it. Her favorite "animal" is still a ladybug, and she believes the sound they make is a kissing sound. Her favorite food is mac n cheese and hotdogs (again after her mommy). Klaire's favorite word is "no", and she says it so sweetly and with that smirk of hers that you can't help but laugh. She also says: pleease, up, yes!, Ollie, teddy (her security blankie), cheese, dada, mama (baba), yah, moo, quack quack, one (complete with finger motion), and I think that's the extent of the list, as of today:) She is an energetic, silly, serious, smart, amazing little girl that we love so very much.
Grace aka "Gracie Rose" "Rosy" "Rosy Girl" "Gracie Pooh" and yes the ever popular "Gracie butt":)
Grace truly wears her heart on her sleeve. She's very emotional and will let you know of every single emotion she's feeling. She gets her feelings hurt easily, but wants a kiss to make it better a minute later. Grace has a set of lungs that you can't believe-Brian has said many times that she just may be an opera singer. She gets that pretty mouth open so far and lets her voice bellow. Very cute, just not at 4 am. :) She still has that open mouth huge smile from when she was a baby, that melts my heart. Grace loves books, she will curl up in their book corner and flip through pages of her favorites all by herself and be completely content. A funny detail, she's very concerned about mommys tummy. Lets just say it doesn't look the way it used to and when naming body parts she always has to see mommy's tummy and stick her finger in the not so taught skin while squinting her eyes and saying "eeeew" Darling huh? Actually I think it's hilarious. She loves to point to things in book and be told what they are, over and over and over. Grace is a collector, she loves tiny toys (Littlest PetShop) that she can carry around lots of them in her arms and look at the small details of them. Her favorite animals are puppies and kitties, in any book the both get and "OOOOOh" as if to say, how cute! She loves to be tickled, and cuddled. She's definitely my "cuddle baby." Her favorite food is Bread. Period. The girl could eat slices of bread, plain, all day. Graces favorite word is "Ah-dee" Ollie. She says it when seeing, playing with, or even thinking about Ollie, she loves her puppy, Ollie:) She also says: up, down, baba (mama), cheese, pleease, yes, dada, mooo, quack quack, one. She is a sweet, affectionate, loving, stubborn, little cutie that we love so very much.
To our girls,
You both have made us more happy than we could have ever imagined. Daddy and I are so lucky to have been blessed with you in our lives. You amaze us and make us laugh (and sometimes cry) every day. You are our little angels and we love you to the moon and back.

OK, I shouldn't have read this at work. My mascara is running.....
Erika, what a beautiful tribute to the girls. Even though I see them so often, and get to know their little personalities so well, you always touch on something I haven't seen or thought about lately. They are both such little dollies.....and even though twins, each of their personalities just sparkle in their different ways too.
I can't believe they are 18 months old either. I always said with you girls, 18 months was my favorite age, you were just SO sweet and did such cute things all day long, but hadn't really learned to talk back yet!:)
I thank God everyday that you guys live here and we can be so involved in Klaire and Grace's lives. It means to world to us.
Love you all,
Mom and Grandma C.
You will be so glad you took the time to write about your two beautiful babies and describe in detail all of the facets of their personalities and accomplishments! They are both such individuals which makes life twice as fun and twice as surprising. You two will never be bored, lonely, or sad for long with these two amazing gifts from God in your lives. What a blessing they have been for all who know them! Thank you for writing such a beautiful tribute to them, Erika, and for being their wonderful mommy!
