Halloween '09

What a perfect night for Halloween! We could not have asked for better weather...or company:) We got all the cousins together and set out for a great time! It was cool, but not cold, and our new neighborhood was a blast. What a change from the old one-where we didn't even buy candy:( One house even gave out movie theater sized candy bars...Grace called a "book!" The kiddos started off a little rough, but once they got the hang of it they went about 2 blocks more than I ever thought they would. True to form the girls were cling ons (a thought of too late costume idea for me!) at first, but after following Gabes (AKA The Man in the Yellow Hat) lead they caught on and at the end wanted nothing to do with holding my hand let alone be carried:) Phew 30 pounds times two is getting a bit much for me.

The girls all dressed up, and yes those are bungee cords they are playing with...don't ask.

As close to a family picture as we're going to get these days!

Look at the fear on all of their faces! Quickly dissipated by candy.

We got the little goblins home and they were all a little confused and rang the doorbell to trick or treat at our house! Too funny.

They ate dinner before diving into the candy...

A fun project with Aunt Nikki, and some more running off the sugar and it was off to bed! I had to pry the "punkin" out of Graces hand ...she really wanted to take it to bed with her. :)

In fact I found both of them downstairs (where they go to play "without supervision") this morning trading candy back and forth.

We had a great Halloween. It's always stressfull for me because I'm a dork and want everything to go just right, I'm slowly learning it's not really about that. It's about fun times with people we love and memories made.

These are wonderful! What happy memories you guys are making.
I had my first Halloween with Seth going with a friend and it was horrible. I missed him so badly. Matt and I had fun but it wasn't the same. Next year the friends come with us!
