This weekend the girls learned more family members names and now talk regularly about Mama Fern, Papa Keith, Neese, Com, and Ashee (you know who you are).
They of course are still fixated with the two baby nephews in the family Jackson and Wyatt!

Such fun. Jeff Nikki Gabe and Wyatt came over on Saturday and the big kids made their very own pizza...which by the way I think was even better than Pizza Hut!:)

We all went to the park to enjoy the fabulous November weather!

Yep that's Grace, picking on a 5 year old and taking his shovel!

While we had 4 days at home I thought it'd be a good idea to solidify a good Time Out procedure. Before this it was just an empty threat and no real follow through-and as you all know with a 2 year old it's all about follow through. They knew the idea and word (well, Grace says Pie-Tout!) but not really the whole process. So we now have the time out couch in the living room. I've seen Super Nanny a million times and it seemed to work for her so we pretty much follow her process. So far it's worked well. Klaire has taken residence a couple times for hitting-she has a powerful left hook!... but the main occupant is Miss Grace (mostly for whining incessantly, screaming, crying when not getting her way, and not sharing toys, ever). She is quite the pistol these days, and has her daddy's stubbornness (of course not mine!?). Anyway it takes quite a few trips back to the couch before she'll sit there for one minute (should be 2 but we are starting small). I think we are making some progress. They understand there will be consequences for their behavior and I must say yesterday I felt like we have a little more control? Just a little. Grace even put her blankie on time out:) I'm making it sound like the girls are wild heathens....not so much but we'd like to nip it in the bud before that happens! All kids need rules and structure right!?
Anyway, that's the exciting news around our house. The bed rails have not come yet and no repeat jumping so will wait on the big girl beds for a little while longer.
Yay for Pie Tout!
