I don't usually gush about toys...actually the girls toys are a huge pain in my neck and they'd be fine with MUCH less. But I have to share this new toy we got at a late Christmas celebration with my mom's side of the family (pictures to come...as soon as someone sends me them as I was lazy and didn't get my camera out, gasp!) Anyway back to this awesome toy. If you're going on a road trip or any time the kiddos are going to be in the car, especially in the dark, pick one of these babies up! It's like a magnadoodle, but it writes with light! They can use their finger, or the "pen" that's attached to it, lights up 3 different colors and erases with the push of a button. Completely self sufficient and the best part-virtually silent! This made for a very nice, occupied, quiet ride home last night!

Thank you for this post! My twin boys are just 16.5 months and are not ready to use crayons (they eat them!) but I was wondering if something like this might be better...I can always try and if not, get it out later, right?
Oh, and I hear you on the pain the kids' toys are! I put them away every night and there is just too much stuff!!!
