Update to the update:) Went in last night and the Endo (who looked just like Dr. Oz on Oprah) could only do half of the root canal because it was infected:( yuck. So I'm on antibiotics and Dr. Oz will finish it next week. I have to say the pain is much better...I'm a sick fan of root canals! As soon as he numbed it I was in heaven...that is until the drilling started! Overall not to bad, but really not something I'd like to do again.
Update: it turns out if you call and cry about the pain and get the sweet receptionist they can squeeze you in!! After a looooong night of horrible pain I caved, cried, and got in today at 4. THANK GOD...and wish me luck:)
That was the conclusion my dentist came to when she couldn't see anything on an x-ray to explain the PAIN I've been in for the last two days. My tooth is dying a slow and painful death. Are you serious. After I had the girls I had numerous cavities...explained by them literally sucking the life out of my teeth, and even more so with multiples. After I had all 17 cavities filled I thought that I was in the clear, but now this. I have to say I think I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but this is awful:( So I have to have a root canal and I can't get in until Tuesday (yes mom I called back-I can't get in until Tuesday). My one comfort is that my girls have beautiful white teeth:)

That sounds horrible! :(
I feel for you! Nothing worse than tooth pain. My Mom used to numb my with clove oil or whiskey. Rub a little on with a
q-tip. Remember to rub the tooth with the whiskey not down it.

I'm sorry Erika! That sounds awful! I thought you were in the clear with those cavities being filled too!
Call everyday.. maybe someone will cancel?
Sorry to hear this. As a European, I am no stranger to fillings and not-so-strong teeth! I sincerely hope that my twins inherited have strong American teeth from their Daddy!!! (I know I'm generalizing but you know what I mean ).
Good luck Tuesday!
Ooh, I know this one too. I just had 11 cavaties filled after nursing for 9 months. And one of the teeth started to hurt again. I am in sort of denial, since I hate dentists and was hoping I would be done now, but after your story: I am going to call tomorrow.
YAY!! You gotta do what you gotta do! ;) Keep me updated on how it goes. Good luck!
I need one too! (How is it possible? - Are all twin moms in teeth problems?)
I am going to hold off for a while with antibiotics. I am clearly not in as much pain as you are.
In 3 weeks I will move to a country where I will have full coverage, saving me $2000.
I'm glad it feels better. :) I can't imagine if you had had to go through that pain for a week!
