For real this time. The diapers are put away (actually I told the we gave them to baby Jackson-and I have them for you Laura, if you want them!:) and potty training is in full swing. I have to tell you, it's exhausting! We started on Saturday morning, getting all excited about the undies and having a talk about keeping them dry. Then ventured into the bathroom and to the potty chairs I bought them because they resisted the regular toilet so much last time. Well they always keep me guessing! They only used the new pottys as a stepstool. So back to the store they went and they are just using the guard thingy on the regular toilet! We made some progress, still using a pullup at nap and night-time (I know you're supposed to wake them up an hour after going to sleep to go potty-but sorry that's just not happening at this time!).
Grace has it down. The first time she realized she could control when she went on the potty, she was thrilled with herself and hasn't looked back! She loves the whole process and even went no. 2 a couple times. She had one accident and got very upset that it happened, remembers exactly where, and brings it up frequently. She obviously did not get scolded, but she's pretty determined not to get "her undies wet again!"
Miss Klaire. She has not been so easy, and she's the one I thought was ready and willing. She also loves the undies, and does not want to get them wet...but her tactic is to hold it for hours at a time. She'll sit on the potty, but not let anything come out...any advice on this mommys? I've tried running the water and every other explanation of how to do it that I can think of, but she just gets upset about wanting an m&m. She did go both nights nights before bath time when she just couldn't hold it anymore and the timing happened to be perfect...but I'm not sure if we can count that as much progress, the poor kid is going to end up with a UTI! Maybe I should just put her in a pullup for a few days and see what she does.
Anyway, I think I can pretty much say one down one to go! They are with Papa Rick today, so I hope all goes well. Maybe he can get through to Klaire.
I don't have any pictures of the process, I didn't have time to take any! Grace wants to sit on the potty every 10 minutes, then it's the whole process over again. I will get some of them in their little underwear, it's the cutest thing ever!!!!:)

woo hoo for progress! Kids seem to always keep you guessing!! And of course I will take the extra diapers!! As long as you are totally ready to give them up!
Way to go girls! Matt will still hold it as long as he can and getting that boy to poop is a trial in itself. maybe you can up the anti with a new toy or something if she pees say 5 times in a row of something. good luck and remember things will just get better!

Sounds like you guys are doing great. I remember with the boys there was a blue spot on the bathroom wall where I sat all the time. I swear we were in the bathroom ALL DAY. Once one goes it is time for the other. Good Luck!!
Wow , I'm impressed. I haven't been brave enough to do it yet. Since you've done both would you suggest moving to big girl beds or potty training first? They are precious!!
