Holy drama queens! I came home yesterday to two litle girls sitting at the kitchen table eating apples and sobbing. Like can't catch your breath (but still able to eat the snack) sobbing. I thought the dog died or something! Nope, nothing really happened. Rick said "they just woke up this way." Lovely.
They do still have that witching hour from the time I get home until after dinner, where they are generally pretty cranky and overall naughty, so I learned a long time ago to ignore it and go about my business-sometimes it's even movie watching time while I make dinner. The more I try to "fix" it the worse it gets. So I did, but last night it lasted until bedtime, and into this morning. Klaire had an absolute tantrum about brushing her hair and Grace has on the most ridiculous outfit you've ever seen that doesn't even fit, but I didn't care! Neither one would tell me goodbye and Grace told me to leave. hmph. I hate that and even threw a little tantrum of my very own by slamming the door on my way out. Ha! I showed them! Very mature, I know.
I love winter but I think we need spring to come. So tired of being cooped up in the house! Grace has been talking about swimming in the ocean (don't want to burst her bubble that we are in Nebraska:) and Klaire is asking about running through the sprinkler every day. Are my girls going to be summer lovers!??
I'm crossing my fingers for a better night tonight! Thanks blog world for letting me vent. And progress: I didn't even slam the door this time!

Ugh, I agree that spring definitely needs to come quickly so we can get out!! (Supposedly, it's supposed to be near 50 next Monday...we'll see.)
I know somewhere they can swim in the ocean. :)
