14 weeks

I'm STILL finding it hard to believe I get to post weekly (maybe more like monthly updates this time around) again! Brian and I feel so incredibly lucky to get to go on this journey again. I am also already impatient to meet this little bundle!  Week 13-14 brought my energy back, I feel much less nauseous and almost sometimes forget I'm pregnant, except for the nice round belly I'm sporting already.  It's a welcome relief.

I had an ultrasound at 13 weeks for the ultrascreen and all looked well. My mom came with to get a sneak peek and I think we both felt a bit of nostalgia from all the ultrasounds I had last time! I'm hoping to have WAY less medical attention this time. Speaking of, I am scheduled for my cerclage on Thursday morning. At this point it is only preventative (my cervix looked beautiful and "perfect" for the record!) and a sort of insurance policy from bedrest.  I will take it! I'm not looking forward to it obviously, but anything to help ease my mind and keep me off bedrest, sign me up!

The girls are really into the baby news. They like to tell anyone and everyone who will listen, including the check out girl at Target, of course their preschool teachers, and family members who already know.  Grace has caught on that the baby eats what I eat, so  is always asking me if "the baby likes insert whatever I'm eating?" She also told me once when I was, ahem, asking them to do something very nicely "Mom, stop yelling, you're going to scare the baby!" Klaire is still getting used to the idea I think, she got wind that the playroom will be no more, and didn't like that very much. We will ease into it. She likes to give the baby a kiss goodnight and thinks it's hysterical how "big the belly is."  Ha, she has no idea what's coming!
