first appointment

Hi everyone! Well I thought I'd try to be a little organized, and copy Brian's cousin Jessica, and start an online pregnancy journal! I remember how much fun (and admittedly a little scary) it was to track her pregnancy and hear all the little details. Also I'm finding it kind of hard to keep up on e-mail from well wishers-I know me!?!? It's crazy but true! I guess pregnancy is already slowing me down a bit!
Well as you all know by now Brian and I are pregnant with twins! We found out at our first visit at 7 weeks. Actually during the unltrasound the babies ( I have to get used to typing that) measured 8 weeks and 4 days so hopefully by the next appointment we can nail down a better due date. For now it's between August 13-20th.
It was so crazy at the appointment! It was a moment I had thought about a couple thousand times-me and my neurotic self--the doc starting the ultrasound, and I'm just praying that all my 5 tests weren't false positives. Then she says "hmmmm interesting." Not the best thing to hear. Then she says "I think you may have 2 for the price of one." At this point Brian is jumping around the tiny office and the doc is looking at him like he's nuts--thankfully she was laughing at him at the same time!
She sent us to get another more detailed ultrasound and that one showed the same thing--two little babies- we were just in SHOCK! Actually still kind of are, but very very happy and excited! We also saw two rapid heart beats-tiny, but there. I think they were at 171 bpm!
Overall I'm feeling pretty well. A little nauseaus and TIRED, but nothing so far I can't handle.
Well I think that's all for now. I have another appt the 17th, so I'll let you all know how that goes!:)
