This weekend was my first trip away from my girls. They are 10 months old now...and it was time to "cut the cord" so they say:) I still can't believe I really went though!
I went with my two dear sister in laws...might sound funny-but we all get along great. I'm very lucky to have them:) Oh I guess I should mention--we went to Chicago! Nikki's grandparents live in the "burbs" outside of Chicago and we got to stay with them...it was great! We had an awesome time! Shopping, eating, walking, sightseeing, a little bar scene with a friend of Nikki's from high school (thanks Lauren!) and girl chat! It was such a great time that I hardly had time to worry about my girls. The boys we left behind--and Grandma Nancy-- all met up in Des Moines form Memorial Day fun of their own...so in case you were wondering about Brian-no he did not have the girls all by himself:)
All in all it was a great (needed) get away. And I think we'll have to do it again sometime...ok with you? Laurika and Sequins???
Back to work tomorrow. oh joy!
