I'd like to post a couple messages out to all the dads in my life.
Brian: thank you for always understanding me, even when I'm a complete wreck, you can manage to make sense of any situation. When I see you with our two little girls it always brings a tear to my eye. I remember a time when we didn't think we'd ever have a family...then surprise-we were blessed with an instant family of four. It's not always easy-actually-is it ever easy??:) But we make it through every obstacle that is thrown at us-and still manage to have some fun too:) Our two little girls our blessed with a fun, hardworking, dedicated, amazing daddy and I can't wait till they can tell you that themselves.
Dad: you have always been there for me, and I know you'll be a rock of support for the girls. I always know that I can call you for anything...and have...:)You've taught me how to reflect on life in a way most people don't, and to always be thankful for the blessings we have. My girls are lucky to have such a loving, cool Grandpa... PS even though you are "cool" they are NEVER allowed on that motorcycle again. :)
Rick: What would I do without you? For those of you that don't know, Grandpa Rick watches the girls 3 days a week. Yep, pretty amazing isn't it? It just so happens he retired right before I had the girls. I remember when we found out we were having twins...I gave him the option of backing out of his offer to watch a baby a couple days a week. He would hear nothing of it, and he does an incredible job. It started as 2 days and when I couldn't bear to leave them at daycare that many days he offered to do another, and when I took a new job that didn't let me have Mondays off, he offered again. On Holidays when I'm just plain nuts...he's there to help without me even asking-or sometimes knowing. I trust him as much as I trust myself with my girls. Most days I come home to giggles and messy hair...just like fun day with Grandpa should be. Rick is my right hand man, and without him I'd be a basket case. Plain and simple. Thank you Rick, for all you do-we'll keep you busy as long as you can stand it:)
Happy Fathers Day to all of you out there!
