i love google

i just have to tell you guys a quick story-it's such and erika story. So I've been on this cooking kick-pretty much only because the girls are eating real food now and I have to, but it's been fun and Brian is still shocked when he sees me in the kitchen doing something other than making bottles. Anyway, tonight I made scalloped potatoes. Great. Well about an hour ago while I was cleaning the kitchen I got lazy and put all the skins down the garbage disposal-see where I'm going with this-CLOG. Why did I do that!? Our kitchen is OLD and so must be the disposal. So for the next hour I'm plunging, crying, swearing, pleading with the sink to just DRAIN! Long story short I go wake Brian up and tell him I broke the damn sink (again-I've done this once before, slow learner) He's not happy-rightly so. We just don't have the extra right now to call an (expensive) plumber for something so stupid. Brian goes back to bed-since he has to get up in like 3 hours, says we'll deal with it in the morning. I can't sleep. Then I had an idea-I'm a little stubborn and don't like to give up that easily...I decide I'm going to Google it! I look it up realize I wasn't even plunging correctly (you have to plug the other drain to get better suction-DUH). So here I go get up IN the sink on foot on the stopper and one on the counter, plunge with all my might. And guess what? I'm the proud owner of a fully draining sink. Moral of the story: don't cry, google.

Gotta go tell Brian the Internet just paid for itself this month.
