I've been thinking about this alot...haven't told Grace yet:)... but I think the paci's have to go. It seems she's getting too attached, and last night needed that darn thing about 15 times. So maybe it's more about me....but I'd really like to not have to have them all over the place, and always be worrying if I have them available, let along buying them at $4 a 2-pack! It seems like lately she can't calm down/quit crying without them, and I'm not loving this new development...so, maybe this weekend we'll try.
Now, do we do it cold turkey? Cut the tips-off (seems kinda cruel to me)? Paci fairy? What should I do? Any paci-take-away- seasoned veterans have any ideas for me out there? Help!

I heard my brother was a paci-boy. :) My parents pretended to through it out the window of the car and he never asked for it after that. So I guess cold turkey would be the best. But I know how that is...better said than done.
Neither of my boys were paci-boys so I have no advice for you but I will certainly send up a few prayers in hopes that it is an easy transistion.

I know my Mom tried to have just at bedtime for my brother, but I think it seems like Gracie will transition better cold turkey! Trust your gut, you know your kidlet best!
Jenny's twins were huge paci-addicts and she cut the tip off little by little...seemed crazy to me at the time but it worked! They learned to not like it.
Kennedy is a paci-girl in the car and her crib so let me know what you find out works best becuase I'll need the help too!
