Happy Birthday Brian!

Today is my hubby's 32nd birthday. Looks tired doesn't he? Don't let him fool ya, he did it up right with 18 holes of golf with his dad and Allen:) I made him the ugliest/yummiest carrot cake (his and my fav).

OK, so you all know my struggle with laundry-really it stems from not having enough space for my collection of clothes, really I promise it does...:) It's not like I have all these GREAT clothes--I just have a big problem getting rid of any. I have the I might wear that someday-syndrome. So here was my crazy idea. I told Brian today that I was going to put ALL of my clothes and I mean ALL of them on the darn driveway and sort them out once and for all. He thought I was nuts, but also would love for me to get a handle on it so he helped me -on his birthday- mind you...before the golf:) take ALL of my clothes down to the driveway, where I proceeded to sort through the years of unworn clothes while the girls napped. People were driving by looking at me like I was nuts, and the (nosy anyway) neighbors looked out their window more than once to check out what I was up to. It was amazing to me how many clothes I've saved for no reason. I came up with 4 garbage bags FULL of clothes going to Goodwill tomorrow. I did however keep every one of my 15 brown shirts. That's right-I'm not ashamed!:)
Pictures of the mess!

Next is shoes....

Happy Birthday, Brian!!! I'm happy to see that you had a fun day!
The carrot cake sounds yummy!
All those years of trips to the mall in four bags?!! ;) I wonder if those bins went too ;)
Happy to hear that you have it under control... :) The shoes you definitely 'might' wear again though.

LOL, you are so funny! If I was one of your neighbors, I'd be peeking out the window too! What a good way to spend some time outside in the beautiful weather though!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this laundry problem...I've settled with the idea that I will never catch up (until I have a closet 3 times bigger, anyways.) I also have the "I might wear it someday" syndrome. I think more than once, I've said, "well, maybe I could wear it for Halloween." Horrible.
