dmb soothes my soul

Along with millions of people and apparently 729,000 facebook fans around the world I'm a huge dave fan. There's something about his voice, the poetry of his words, and the mellow melodies that speak to me and make me happy.  Brian is not such a fan and that was almost a dealbreaker at the beginning, but I got over it and i'll just keep this little obsession to myself:)-well except for this post.

That said, I think we may have created another dmb fan in miss Grace.  When she's cranky -read: screaming kicking, sun in her eyes, throwing shoes ,all out FIT- in the car, and that's almost every time she's buckeled in, once I pop dave in, she totally calms down and even tells me to "make it loud," leans back in her seat and listens!  It's amazing and so far the only thing I've found that truly works in this situation.

And did you know dave and his wife have fraternal twin girls!, and I just researched and one of them is named Grace! (the other is Stella). Crazy! Here is a picture of him and his Grace!-this is the only picture I could find of him and his children because he doesn't allow them to be photographed-I knew he was cool.

At the risk of sounding like a total groupie, I'll stop-BUT if Dave is still around when she's old enough I'm totally going to take her to an outside concert, but from past experience-we probably won't sit in general admission:)

Oh
I love you oh so well
Like a kid loves candy and fresh snow...

The world is blowing up
The world is caving in
The world has lost her way again
But you are here with me
But you are here with me
Makes it ok

I LOVE the song that you posted...you don't hear it very often.

"Crash" used to have the same effect on Ayla. After listening to it on repeat for weeks, I decided to retire it before I got sick of my favorite song. :)

That is awesome! And, crazy coincidental that he has a twin named Grace. Although, I don't even know if non-general admission would be safe. haha :)
