I forgot to update you all on Grace's eye appt last Friday! I had a work event that day so there was no time for shenanigans like last time, we were in and out and that was fine with Grace. She did not say one word, the whole time! This from a girl who talks all day up until the minute she falls asleep, is no small feat. She behaved very well again, so I'll take the silence!
Dr. Sebastian (who I told him she just called him Sebastian and I hope that's ok, he loved it and said, hey we're casual, I work with kids!) Anyway, goodness I can't stay on task today, he took one look at her and said "Oh, she's really straight!" After a quick exam he's very happy with her progress in 3 weeks, and does not think at this time that she'll ever need surgery for her lazy eye. He cut her wearing time in half, down to 6 hours a day. When I explained she didn't have to wear it all the time, Grace was pretty indifferent, the thing hardly bothers her at all! We go back again July 1st.
In the last week I have noticed that it was easier to put it on in the morning and not worry about it. She has more trouble putting it on in the middle of the day, and for the first time this weekend asked to take it off. I changed the subject and nothing more was said. She's a little trooper!

I'm very happy to hear about the progress! That's great news! She is definitely a trooper!
My little sister used to have to patch.....:D She is good now, and the doc says maybe she doesn't need glasses anymore! She's had 2 operations and patching, and her eyes are improving. It's been 11 long years of her life!
