(Waiting to go into preschool, hiding around the corner from the funny van driver.
Also, they dress themselves -I swear!)
I haven't updated in forever, or put up Easter pictures. I actually don't think I even finished the other half of the Christmas post! Yikes, I am behind!
We went to a Kindergarten parent meeting the other night. I just know the girls are going to LOVE their new school. I get a wonderful vibe from the principal and teachers we have met. Even the secretary is amazing. One thing that stood out is that they really focus on making sure the kids like school, that they have fun, and feel comfortable. If their test scores are above average that's great too, but they focus on making elementary school just what I think it should be a fun, positive and learning experience. This makes me happy:) Round-up is May 4th, and I know there will be some tears, but just like always, they will adjust (they really don't have a choice!). A few nights ago Grace was being Grace and up at night worrying about the whole thing, saying she wasn't going to go, and that she'll stay with Miss Reeh in preschool. She got herself all riled up and the only thing that eventually calmed her down was a reminder of the big huge computers we saw in the school one time when we were up there turning in paperwork. THAT calmed her down, the promise of playing on a computer. Whatever works! I haven't heard anything since, but she does get really quiet whenever the K word is mentioned.
Speaking of K, Klaire is writing her name! I'm so proud of her! True to form one day out of the blue she just wrote it, perfect as can be. She always waits until she can do something really well to unveil it. Perfectionist?
We are waiting around for spring to stick around for sure, so we can plant our garden again. I'm craving garden fresh tomatoes like no other, so can't wait till those babies are ready. I trying to think of some new produce we can try. We've only really had good luck with tomotoes (roma and grape), peppers, and cucumbers. The rest have kind of fizzled out or not produced much of anything. Maybe we should try green beans.
This is quite the earth shattering post! I'm thinking I need some updated pictures of the girls so maybe we'll do that soon.
Happy Spring!
