Kindergarten Roundup!

The girlies had Kindergarten Roundup this morning.  They were of course a bit apprehensive with Grace being a little more than worried. She's been saying all week that she didn't want to go and that she'll just stay in preschool thankyouverymuch. Sigh, she's her mothers daughter.  When this morning rolled around she seemed fine was all smiles and ready to go.  They both wanted this braid/pigtail contraption with their hair so we finagled that and were on our way. I love that we can walk to their school!

When the lady came to take them back, Grace had a minor hiccup and wouldn't let go of me, cried just a little and pleaded one time, "please come with me!" Klaire was a rockstar. So proud of her for staying strong despite Graces crying.  I've heard stories of full blown tantrums today at Roundup so I'm thinking we got off pretty easy. When I picked them up they were all smiles again and totally excited to tell and show me what they made. Klaire was rather impressed by the "spider snack" whatever that is! Grace is pretty quiet about details, but they usually come out later.  I promised them Applebees for lunch (ugh) and they were absolute wild monkeys, must have been the pent up/nervous energy coming out!  Then they were off to preschool with their "pretend birthday" cupcakes we made. I should have taken a picture of them, they were quite the pink and yellow sprinkle bonanza!
