Kindergarten, here we come!

I hesitate to jinx us and write that Kindergarten has gone remarkably well so far!!! The girls seems nothing but excited the night before and even morning of!  There were times while walking in that I had to sort of drag Grace behind me, and she was for sure nervous, but overall they both handled the first drop off like champs!  When I picked them up they both looked a little shell shocked and worn out (and they even had a short Wednesday as their first day!).  They were crabby about their HOT tennis shoes, and wanted to go home and watch their newest obsession of Cupcake Wars! Last night we tried to get more info out of them about what they did and if they met anyone new, but I think it was all jsut too overwhelming for them to remember anything. Anything but lunch that is.  Klaire had a detailed account of the lunch process and specifically requested cookies in their new lunch bags next week! Grace did ask me "how many days do we go to school" I told her 5 days a week,  but I think she really meant, is this indefinite!?? Yep kiddo, get used to it:)

This morning was their first day of Kids Network (before and after school program) and that also went better than I anticipated!  The program is in the gym, it can be loud and all ages of kids, but again I promised them that that make better breakfast than mommy!!! They agreed because anything is better than the cereal or oatmeal I usually throw at them.:) They go after school for a bit too until I get off, so it will be a long day for them, but I tell myself no longer than daycare was, the only difference is it's every day.   

Anyway, I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall and see how they are really doing all day.  So far so good, and I'm sure they'll be ready for the weekend!
