one week down

Well the girls have been in school for one week!....and I can't believe I'm saying this, but they are doing fantastic! I had my doubts, and am not sure if I can quit holding my breath yet.  Grace does have her moments most mornings where she'll try one excuse as to why she "better not go" like she's not hungry so can't go to Kids Net...or that her hip hurts so she can't go to school.  But I tell her why those reasons aren't going to work and she laughs and agrees. Amazing! Klaire is my solid, silly, worry free kiddo these days.  Love it. She says her teacher "is such a nice lady" and loves playing with all the new kids. Grace made me (try to) draw a picture of her Genevieve with hearts around it to give to her teacher. We put it in her bag and she said she was going to...I didn't think she'd really do it all by herself but yesterday she came home and said Mrs W. knew who Genevieve was from the Madeline cartoons, from when she was a little kid and gave her a big hug! She's now A-OK in Graces book.

 We still walk to school every morning. They love that and I can't help but think it takes the edge off of being dropped off. I just about can't make it back up the hill some days. Lordy I'm getting big!  I'm checking on Vix tomorrow as well as my gestational diabetes test...so wish me luck!
