Swim lessons 2.0

The girls started their second round of swim lessons at the Y on Saturday. They were totally excited to go and there was no hesitation. Yay! Brian stayed home with Henry this time and we were on our merry way.
This is Grace doing a happy dance while waiting in the locker room.

We only had one minor hiccup as their teacher was supposed to be Abby (who they had last time) but when we got to the point of sitting on the edge of the pool for the lesson, it turned out there was a guy filling in for her. An older gentleman, who was perfectly nice, but Grace was not so excited about this. She hid behind me and started to cry. Oh Lordy. Dance lesson failure flashed before my eyes...I apologized to him and said "nothing personal" He said "no problem, I get this a lot." Finally, he told them that he's not the regular teacher and if they tolerated him for just one lesson they'd get to go down the big water slide. Bingo! That turned her around real quick. Funny thing, Klaire had no issue, my calm kiddo these days.
Anyway, after that they were totally fine. Grace ended up going down the slide 3 times, Klaire once because "it made me go under water!!!". At the end of the lesson they both had a small meltdown because they were COLD when getting out. Divas.
