9 months

Our guy is 9 months.  At his check-up he weighed 19 pounds (42%) was 27.1 inches long (8%!!!?) and head was 17.6in (42%). I'm wondering if they didn't get him measured very well? He is on a nice growth curve though, so they aren't worried. The only person this height bothers is daddy:) He also has a little bit of excema we think brought n by some dumb expensive lotion I bought him special for his red crawling knees.  My advice, stick to the cheap stuff! Other than that healthy as can be:)

He's a crawling, standing, cruising, exploring machine!  I can already tell the difference between boys and girls.  The girls were content to chill and play in about a 3 foot radius.  This kid is all over the place, ALL the time. I can't take my eyes off him for one sec.  This has led to much more baby proofing than we ever had to do for the girls.  Speaking of, their tiny polly pocket/barbie toys got banished to another room for the time being. Henry is eating real food much better than even a couple weeks ago. He made friends with peas again and has the hang of carrots for sure.  He's now eating a veggie for lunch too! We're still working on the sippy cup, and mostly we throw it on the ground over and over.  I've even put some cold breastmilk in there to start to get him used to that and he loved it, but he still needs help holding the cup and tipping it back to get a drink. Kind of defeats the purpose.:)  Aside from our bout with croup and the cold that just won't go away all the way he's been pretty healthy and no ear infections since June.  Awesome! He weighs in right at 20 pounds...I think it'll be time to get the next car seat soon. Big ol boy.  He has 2 bottom teeth now, they basically came in at the same time.  He has bitten me now and it's NO FUN.  I tell him no biting and put him down, he pouts for a sec then we go back to nursing. So far this has worked.  I'm kind of hoping the top teeth wait to come in for awhile. That'd be just fine with me! Daycare and Papa Rick can get him to take two naps a day still. I'm good for the morning one, but he just won't lay down for me in the afternoon. So we end up with this at about 6pm.

Henry still loves to cuddle, especially in the morning I can get hm to rock with me and he lays down so sweet and pats me with his hand. Talk about melt my heart. He's so sweet I just can't imagine him ever being "terrible two."
